Bringing manufacturing back to Australia, one light at a time.
Located in Sydney, Australia, our production headquarters leverage advanced manufacturing technology to create robust, premium lighting solutions. Operating from our 1800sqm combined warehouse, production, design lab, and showroom space, our team of 25 dedicated professionals maintains complete control over our production processes, ensuring precision, quality, efficiency, and innovation in every luminaire we produce.

For more than 30 years, Telectran & Aqualux have been involved in manufacturing both locally in Sydney and internationally. Operating a manufacturing facility requires constant attention to small details, broad trends, and global movements. Over the years, we have honed our ability to react quickly and nimbly to the market and the forces that shape our world.
During the 2000s, when many Australian lighting companies moved their operations entirely overseas, Aqualux adopted a flexible strategy to combine the best of both worlds. While we established long-term relationships with overseas suppliers—many of whom remain close friends and partners today—we firmly retained our local manufacturing facility.
We predicted a time would come when the wind shifted, when "Made in Australia" would be more than just a sticker, and when the market would actively seek out premium, locally-made products. Bringing the CNC machining of our lighting components back to Sydney is a win on multiple fronts.

At Aqualux, our commitment to excellence is reflected in our continuous investment into our plant and equipment. Our facility is equipped with a sophisticated suite of state-of-the-art machinery and testing laboratories, enabling us to manage research, development, and advanced manufacturing entirely in-house.
Equipped with advanced CNC machining technology, our Sydney facility produces intricate, high-tolerance lighting components with unmatched precision. From heavy-duty brass and copper to aerospace-grade aluminium, our machinery ensures that every housing and heatsink meets exacting standards.
Whether achieving a sleek architectural color or a timeless patina, our in-house finishing capabilities give us total control over the final aesthetic and durability of our luminaires.
We utilise advanced laser technology to achieve high-precision cuts and permanent component marking, essential for the fit, finish, and traceability of our architectural lighting products.
Innovation at Aqualux is driven by our Industrial FDM 3D Printing Centre. This technology allows our design team to rapidly prototype custom lighting solutions, test luminaire ergonomics, and manufacture bespoke jigs and assembly tools, drastically reducing time-to-market for new designs.
Quality assurance and precision light distribution are at the core of what we do. Our in-house testing laboratory allows us to accurately assess both the photometric performance and the electrical durability of our luminaires.
